There is funk, and then there is rocks funk. Lucky for us we’ve been able to get our hands on some of that amazing rocks fruit. This Syrah is sourced entirely from Stoney Vine vineyard which is in the “Rocks” region of Walla Walla. Planted over the old riverbed of the Walla Walla river this vineyard produces some of the most unique and distinguishable Syrah we get. Think of a plethora of earthy and meaty flavors all wrapped together with a single dark berry smashed in and you’ll start to understand.
The 2014 Vintage was our fourth from this vineyard, and the warmest vintage in recent history. This wine was fermented 50% whole cluster with native yeasts. Aged in combination of 500lt puncheons and neutral French oak barrels.
